The luthiers at Yamaha redesigned the classical guitars in their CG series of nylon string classical acoustic guitars with a new bracing pattern for rich resonance and excellent response and a strong 3-ply laminate neck which allows lower string height for greater playability. The head shape is now simpler with Yamaha's tradition Tuning Fork logo. Additional new features are an intricate colourful rosette surrounding the sound hole, a matte finish rosewood bridge, a new design saddle fit for improved attact and sustain while reducing string vibration loss to transfer rich resonance to the body. A matte finish on the neck's back provides a secure grip for the left hand.
