Cort X100 OPBCB
Cort Guitars has a brand new lineup of the popular X series of metal-oriented Superstrat guitars, filled with a host of affordable, high-quality six and seven-stringers. X100 is the new basic model; it is a six-stringed Superstrat with stock electronics, stock hardware, and minimalist styling. The color palette will be made up of three options - Open Pore Black, Open Pore Black Cherry Burst, and Open Pore Blue Burst. Main construction features (for all three options) include a solid and beveled meranti body (super affordable wood from Southeast Asia, similar to mahogany), hard maple neck (series` standard profile, bolt-on joint), a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard (dot inlays, 15.75" radius, 25-1/2" scale), a string-thru tremolo bridge, Powersound humbuckers, and a set of six die-cast tuning machines.
MERANTI BODY
The Meranti body has similar tonal characteristics to Mahogany with a strong mid-midrange that will cut through the mix with authority for rhythm while providing sweet highs for singing leads.
POWERSOUND PICKUPS
The Powersound pickups provide classic humbucker punch and tone with a quality/value quotient that cannot be beat.
6-SCREW VINTAGE TREMOLO
The vintage style 6-screw tremolo bridge transfers more of the strings’ vibrational energy into the body of the guitar for greater acoustic resonance while providing excellent tuning stability.
ERGONOMIC BODY CONTOUR
Both comfort and appearance was enhanced with an elegantly contoured arm cut on the top. This modification to the body has been carefully laid out on the bodies of the X guitars for maximum comfort without removing unnecessary amounts of wood. The lines of the X body are graceful for aesthetic beauty as well as for ergonomic considerations.
HARDMAPLE NECK
The hard maple neck provides strength and stability while delivering a defined and punchy sound that mates well with virtually any type of body and fingerboard woods.
JATOBA FINGERBOARD
Jatoba is a very dense and stiff wood that makes it ideal for the fingerboard usage. Jatoba produces strong fundamentals and volume projection with an emphasis on the high-mids.
